A satellite workshop on analyzing ribosome biogenesis using the capture of pre-ribosomal RNAs and capillary electrophoresis (Caprica) will take place on June 24–25 at the CBI, following the Global Bridges meeting.
Caprica was designed as an alternative to northern blotting to evaluate the impact of new gene variants on ribosome synthesis. The workshop will provide practical guidance on applying this technique, which enables the detection of pre-ribosomal RNA distribution without radiolabeling. This approach is based on separating RNAs using capillary electrophoresis (CE) and can be performed with various CE devices.
This workshop is co-organized with Adelis, a company based in Toulouse that specializes in developing analytical methods using capillary electrophoresis. Adelis collaborated with the Gleizes group to develop Caprica.
Programme:
June 24 / 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Presentations on Caprica
June 25 / 9:00 am - 1:00 pm: Practical session (restricted to 15 participants)
Registration:
Registration is free, but subject to acceptance by the organizers. Due to space limitations, attendance to the practical session is limited to 15 people.
