WELCOME TO TOULOUSE!

The sixth edition of the Global Bridges meeting is being held in Toulouse, also known as the "Pink City" because of the color of its brick buildings. Toulouse is one of the largest university towns in France, with over 120,000 students. The city has two university hospitals and a large academic community working in biomedical research, biotechnology, and agronomy. Toulouse is also famous for its pioneering role in developing the aircraft industry. If an Airbus plane takes you to the meeting, there is a good chance it was assembled in Toulouse. There are plenty of things to experience in Toulouse, and the Pyrenees Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea are only 90 minutes away by car.
The meeting is taking place at the Centre de Biologie Intégrative (CBI) on the Université Paul Sabatier campus. The CBI is only six to seven minutes away from the terminus of the B subway line, which runs through the city center. The auditorium is easily accessible.
ACCOMMODATIONS
There are many hotels in Toulouse. We recommend choosing a hotel within walking distance of a metro station in the city center. Below are some suggestions, but this list is not exhaustive:
