WELCOME TO TOULOUSE!
This 6th edition of the Global Bridges meeting is hosted by Toulouse, also known as the "pink city" due to the color of its buildings made of bricks. Toulouse is one of the main University town in France, with over 120,000 students. It includes two University hospitals and hosts a large academic community working in biomedical research, biotechnology, agronomy... It is also famous for its pioneer role in the development of the aircraft industry: if an Airbus plane takes you to the meeting, there is a good chance that it was assembled in Toulouse. There are plenty of things to experience in Toulouse, and Pyrenees mountains or the Mediterranean sea are only 90 min away from Toulouse by car.
ACCOMODATION
The meeting will be held at the Centre de Biologie Intégrative (CBI), which is located on the main scientific campus named after Paul Sabatier. The auditorium is easily accessible. The CBI is only 6-7 minutes away from the terminus of the subway B line, which goes through the city centre.
You will find many hotels in Toulouse. We advise to choose a hotel at walking distance from a metro station in the city center. Here are some suggestions, but this list is not exhaustive:
